We believe you have the right to know exactly what happens with your data. That's literally what we teach. This page tells you plainly.

Who we are

Delta Training is a trading name operated by Aidan, based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. We run in-person internet safety workshops for adults.

What we collect and why

Contact and enquiry forms

When you fill in a form on this site we collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry.

Lawful basis: Legitimate interests, to respond to an enquiry you have initiated.

If you tick the marketing opt-in box, we may also use your email address to let you know about upcoming Delta Training sessions. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in.

Lawful basis for marketing: Consent. You can withdraw this at any time by replying to any email or contacting us directly.

Analytics (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how people use this site (which pages are visited, where visitors come from). Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individuals across sites. No consent is required for this tool.

Analytics (Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights)

Our hosting provider Vercel collects aggregated, anonymised information about page performance and visits. No personally identifiable information is collected or stored. No consent is required.

Session recording (Microsoft Clarity)

If you accept cookies on this site, we use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised session replays and heatmaps. This helps us understand how people interact with our pages so we can improve them.

Clarity may set cookies on your device and transmit data to Microsoft servers in the EU and US. Data transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses. Clarity is not loaded unless you have given consent via the cookie banner.

Lawful basis: Consent.

Booking (Eventbrite)

Session tickets are sold through Eventbrite. When you book, Eventbrite collects your name and payment details directly under their own privacy policy. We may receive your name and email as the event organiser for attendance purposes only.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We only set non-essential cookies (Microsoft Clarity) if you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can decline or withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and declining again on your next visit.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We share data with the following processors only to the extent necessary to operate this site:

  • Resend: transactional email delivery (US). Covered by standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
  • Vercel: website hosting and serverless functions (US). Covered by SCCs.
  • Microsoft (Clarity): session recordings and heatmaps (EU/US), loaded only with consent. Covered by SCCs.
  • Plausible Analytics: privacy-friendly page analytics (EU). No personal data processed.

How long we keep your data

  • Enquiry data (contact form submissions): 12 months from the date of receipt, then deleted.
  • Marketing list: kept until you unsubscribe. Each marketing email includes unsubscribe instructions.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data (the 'right to be forgotten').
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent: unsubscribe from marketing or withdraw cookie consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@deltatraining.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
